Reasons To Disagree

It is not the place of government to run any commercial concern. By owning such they are in effect making us all shareholders in a company open to business risks; they do not have the right to do so. Additionally by selling it in a xenophobic manner is not only morally reprehensible it is also denying the shareholders (taxpayers) the best possible return they can get for their investment.

Reasons To Agree

A small portion of all SOE's should be sold but only to New Zealanders living in NZ. The directors should also be subject to independent scrutiny as well.

Gummint has no place running a bank. If there's a demand for shares in a 100% NZ owned bank it will succeed better in private ownership.

85% NZers, 51% Govt

Reasons for Remain Neutral

Good idea if it can be done. How do you force me to sell if I bugger off to Australia along with the other million Kiwis?
