Reasons To DisagreeIf Cullen thinks it's good for NZ - it's good for China - not NZ. He's the smart prick that spent our nest-egg on the railways. 7 June 2008

Reasons To AgreeNZ traders have new places and people to sell our goods, Chinese traders have us to trade with as well. The flow of money both ways will benefit all involved. 7 June 2008
It has to be good if such a huge market wants to buy our quality made products. We can choose whether we buy chinese crap or NZ made 3 July 2009

Reasons for Remain Neutral
Not the investment provisions. A small economy like NZ is always going to loose out if a country like China has ready access to buy all our assets (companies).
It's one of the best looking markets out there currently, though still hard to make much of an impact on. The balance of imports/exports with them is currently slightly in our favour, so it would need to be researched as to how that balance may change if full free trade was opened up with China.
