Reasons To DisagreeThere is no real connection. If anything, increasing immigration probably REDUCES inflation. 3 July 2008
We should only allow thoroughly desirable people to immigrate. It is immoral to try to regulate an economy using immigration as a tool. IT IS GUMMINTS THAT CAUSE INFLATION - ESPECIALLY LABOUR! 28 September 2008
We should not restrict immigration at all, people have a right to move freely 27 August 2012

Reasons To AgreeNo reasons have yet been given to agree with the statement. |
Reasons for Remain Neutral
We need educated immigrants to fill the positions of the baby boomers who are about to retire. However, in short times of high inflation and high interest rates, it would be a good idea to slow immigration quotas ever so slightly.
I repeat. Control inflation by making credit harder to obtain, not more expensive. Kill hire purchase for a start.
