Reasons To Disagree
it's mad! Unless it's quality residential sky scrapers, cramming pple in2 london/harlem style middlclss ghettos has no class.
Too many other cities around the world have done this to their cost. Denser housing leads to under developed roads which leads to traffic problems of accidents, crowding snd pollution and crime. If this is the kind of city you want then you are demonstrably unfit to be running a city of any kind
High density living was a failed experiment in Britain in the 60's with high rises. Why go down that track? usually they were built to house lower socio economc groups and became ghettos, in Britain spawing a generation with psychosocial problems. intellignet planning is needed
I'm a Feb 22nd survivor. Density - forget it

Reasons To Agree
Several, but not all, areas of a city should be permitted to have dense real esate. Dense realestate makes more efficent use of infrastructure. The houses can be more energy efficient with less outside wall area. People can walk to services. Park land can be better utilised and enjoyed by the public rather than everyone having a backyard that is left to waste.
YES - dense housing for dense people and no-hopers.
Higher density housing is cheaper and better for the environment.
As long as comon sence prevales over greed.

Reasons for Remain Neutral
I'm not a fan of dense housing as this can lead to slums in the future how ever for large cities such as Auckland this is one of the few options avalible.
Apartment buildings: Yes
More dense housing: No
We are historically an outdoors nation, and we shouldnt be crammed into asian style housing.
