Reasons To Disagree

Great idea I think there should be a railway line from the Airport, but it should be funded mainly by Auckland International Airport Ltd as they will be the main beneficiaries.

but would support an extension it from Papakura to Hamilton every hour

Reasons To Agree

Definitely! There are no houses nor buildings in the way. Only about 2 kilometers of track is required. Once the Airport is connected, there will be increased usage of the train line, thus making more train trips profitable, thus providing a more regular service, thus making it a service that more people can use. While they're at it, they could build a big park and ride in that industrial waste land there, and this could be used by both commuters to the Airport and the City.

yeah more public transport would be good, especially with petrol so expensive!

The local government should fund what they are unable to get the distribution companies (dhl et al.) along that route to fund. Auckland Airport is unlikely to pitch in as it would lose them alot of their lucrative parking market.

Reasons for Remain Neutral

I live on the Main Land and don't know the area at all.

Who cares there is more to NZ than Auckland.
