Reasons To Disagree
You can make as many trips as you want to with a bus and/or train monthly pass. Also, it means you don't have to find and pay for a parking space too.

Reasons To Agree
$35 for three people on what would cost less than $10 in a car.
Whatever your reason for not using PT is valid - it's up to the individual to make his own decision.
change it to vans
The cost should be free to use trains all over the country not just the urban areas and regional buses, plus local ferries. Encouraging people to visit other areas of the country is good as it increase tourism (meals, accomodation, attractions, snacks etc;)
Govt policy is to fund it 50/50.

Reasons for Remain Neutral
Prices have definitely gone up too much on the train services but society is not encouraging in cars because of the environmental concerns it has. Bicycles are also good but if you want to get to a place from Birkenhead to Otara for example, that'd be too far away unless you are very athletic. Just stop targeting students on the ATHOp Cards
