Iraq was a constituent part of the general radical extremist Islamic threat to, not only the USA, but the whole world.

they were a huge threat.there religion,rules,laws and there sucicde bombers wee disgusting.they didnt show leadship at all,they only showed cowardness and weakness.

Iraq may not have necessarily have been a huge threat to the USA, say compared with what the Soviet Union had been, however its development of chemical weapons threatened American allies in the Middle East.

True up to a point. No direct threat. the smart thing for the US to have done was to provide surreptitious backing to Hussein's opposition. The Kurds and the Marsh Arabs for instance.
