Superannuation should be available to everybody on precisely the same generous terms as the politicians give themselves - what's good for the geese would be great for the Kiwi.

Yes. A universal income based on the present preformance of the economy. And make personal saving tax-free so that people have the best chance possible.

How will it be funded?
Compulsory would be easier and cheaper to administer.
All good but there still needs to be a decent wage paid to enable people to save.
