Reasons To DisagreeIt would make it unfair for a parent who shares care of a child for say 40% of the time. Both parents should have to pay for the care of their children unless they are able to be civil and work out a private agreement. That would be the ideal situation. However, this isn't always the case and both parents should be liable to each other for care to make it fair to both parties. 26 January 2011

Reasons To AgreeA given person should benefit more from an incremental increase in their earnings, than their ex. partner benefitting more!!! 12 March 2012
Government forced child support is wrong 27 August 2012
if you fully share care of your children then whey should there be sharing of income? Both parents then have the ability to work as many hours as the other - it then becomes about their own lifestyle choices and one should not have to support the other 10 July 2013

Reasons for Remain Neutral
i guess it really depends on that persons situation.
I agree that both parents needs to put the child's needs before any feelings they have about paying the other parent. Teh costs of caring for the child should be shared equally betwen the parents, including the cost of childcare.
