Adulthood - The age for drivers licenses should be raised from 15 years to 16 years I partially disagree because: Most teenagers have to sit exams for the first time when they turn 16. They don't need the added pressure (or distraction) of learning to drive. Better they have mastered that already. (May 22)		Disagree		Agree
Adulthood - The drinking age of 18 years should be raised to 20 years I partially disagree because: I got married at 18. It seems silly that I can get married, but not have enjoyed a drink. I always drink sensibly, have never got drunk, and think the problem lies with the way teens see alcohol, not the age limit. I am all for parents educating their children from early teens, rather than leaving it to them when they hit 18. (May 22)		Disagree		Agree
Law And Order - More tax money should be spent on police and prisons to make NZ safer I strongly disagree because: Police.. Yes. But prison? I think they get enough money.. I mean prison is supposed to be a place where criminals suffer for their crime... Not live in luxury. I've seen the newly built prison in Auckland and it looks almost as flash as school.. Law And Order - Marijuana should be decriminalised, eg a $100 fine with no criminal record I strongly agree because: First of all whoever wrote the 'reason to disagree' bit is obviously very close minded... Marijuana is not a bad drug... As opposed to order hard drugs out there like 'P' or heroine etc. I am against drugs and would never go near any of them.. But marijuana is different. If anything it is better for you than alcohol and cigarettes. Alcohol and cigarettes are far mores worse than marijuana.. The only side effect of marijuana is that you have a good time. Maybe it's not for everyone, just like alcohols and cigarettes aren't for everyone. As for your "don't get other people into your stupid behavior"? What are you on about? You yourself said that people are allowed to do what they want, hence why if people start getting into our 'stupid behaviour' then that's THEIR choice not ours. So stop blaming other people. I don't get how people can be so harsh towards marijuana when it's better for you than smoking cigarettes. It's more natural and it doesn't and will never destroy your body like cigarette does. There have been NO cause of death due to marijuana. I agree that it should be decriminalized but not illegalized. Let people smoke marijuana if they want.. They're not hurting anyone.. They're not going out there and causing trouble coz they're high of weed. If anything it makes you more relaxed and positive towards everyone.. Unlike alcohol.. It makes people violent and angry!!!! Adulthood - Decriminalise consensual sex for children as young as 12, provided their partner is no more than two years older than them. I strongly disagree because: The fact that this is even a discussion surprises me. What are you thinking?? I highly disagree with every inch of my soul!!! 12 year olds should act like 12 year olds.. Not 18 year olds.. The media alone has a high effect on kids these days, I see a lot of 10 - 15 year old girls walking down the street in what is so called 'in' fashion.. Yeah sure... Short skirts and low cut tops or even shirts that show half their belly!!! Yeah sure that's ok for ADULT women to wear, but not kids.. It's just sending out all the wrong message.. It's pitiful and degrading. We need to teach our kids to respect their body. And decriminalizing consensual sex for kids at 12 is only going to encourage them further. (May 20)		Disagree		Agree
Environment - There should be a 20 cent levy on shopping bags at supermarkets I strongly disagree because: Paying for bags is stupid and unnecessary...what if the bag breaks? We need to pay another 20c to replace it.. Not necessary.. (May 20)		Disagree		Agree
Education - Healthy school lunches should be funded by government for all under 12 year olds I strongly agree because: My child is being bullied constantly at school I strongly believe it is because too many kids are hungry it has to stop now! These kids cant be learning either, therefore all the money spent on schooling is a total waste of money if they refuse to feed the kids too some parents just dont care they probably dont even want their kids in the first place, you can tell the parents to parent til your blue in the face but that will do nothing. All we can do now is help create a better future for these kids. I myself am happy to contribute money for the lunches for my own kids on a weekly basis to save myself from the stress of time to shop the time to make and the wastage cos my children changed their mind about what they felt like on the day, surely the govt could take ten dollars off the beneficiaries weekly they would never notice all they would know is that they did not have to worry about feeding their kids for 2/3 of the week (May 19)		Disagree		Agree
Immigration - Chinese and other internationals should be able to buy NZ farms I partially disagree because: What is of concern is the size of the land purchases. Rather than ban foreign ownership it may be better to limited the size of individual holdings (both resident and foreign) and the total percentage in overseas ownership - complex but has many positive underlying rationale. Immigration - Pakeha New Zealanders should remember their past as immigrants from Europe. I am neutral because: Europe was the birthplace of evidential science, the enlightenment etcetera and as such should be celebrated BUT it is what you are now that is most important not what your ancestors were or where they originated. Immigration - Immigration is good for the economy I partially disagree because: Whether the effect is positive or negative is dependent on many factors which may change. Cultural enrichment which does not come with negative human rights outcomes is good, resulting growth is also good where the growth type is sustainable. Given current immigration trends and the types of growth prevalent then on balance immigration is midly bad. (May 13)		Disagree		Agree
Immigration - Immigration has an upward effect on house prices I partially agree because: Where demand exceeds supply, as in Aucland 2013, the additions to that demand will lead to an increase in price irrespective of the type of demand increase - therefore question is of little worth. Immigration - NZ should preference immigrants from countries with similar cultural backgrounds I partially disagree because: The culture does not have to be the same as diversity is enriching BUT where that persons culture and / or beliefs have a strong association with social practices that deny others the human rights guaranteed in the UN convention then a more rigourous assessment of leave for that person to immigrate to NZ should be applied. Child Support - In divorce, each parent should have a legal right to 50% custody of their child, subject to any custody being healthy for the child. I strongly agree because: the fact that Police, CYFS and the Family Court are all to familiar with "false accusations" when custody disputes arise shows something is terribly wrong with some mothers in this country - not putting their childrens needs first - or even recognising the harm they are doing to them (April 30)		Disagree		Agree

Child Support - Parents on the DPB in shared care arrangements should be required to seek work I strongly agree because: part time care of a child or children is no excuse not to work. My new partner and I have 5 kiddies between us - my 2 full time, his 3 5 nights per fortnight (currently battling for more time) We both work full time. you juggle it, its no different to a standard family or single parent who chooses to work - you get sitters and after school care, etc (April 30)		Disagree		Agree

NZ Election 2011 - I would like the National Party to be in the winning coalition I am neutral because: Red faced National MPs are in Labour anyhow. If the M MPs really wanted to renew or justify their non sequitur irrelevency together with their EXCUSE on legs (mmp) simultaneously. They'd put themselves in a CONDOM (kind of like SHITTING a pumpkin, the pumpkin patch kids? "what a setup") seperately embodying their NONSENSE JUDGEMENTS and then send themselves back to GOD, then they can find their OWN Insignificants or irrelevent judgements as wholefully WRONG. I'm NOT as expendable as commonsence or democracy. Did the CHRISTchurch earthquake showcase NO - SENSE anything, at least those monkeys have been loosed. And the ZOOKEEPER (democracy) can say 'what's new' how now brown cow, whose the mon KEY on the rock. loll! Hopefully the Conservative Party will get a MANdate. If they refuse to coalition with National because of the SMACKING BILL and sit as opposition i'll VOTE for them, otherwise why VOTE at all, MMPs a JOKE!!!!!!!!!! (April 23)		Disagree		Agree
